Two modern cottages, one bigger than the other, sit down on a beautiful slice of land surrounded by alpine trees and h2o. This is a project known equally Severn Sound Cottage and tin be found in Penetanguishene, in Ontario, Canada.

The site has a bang-up view of Georgian Bay which opens upwardly the landscape and creates a informal and airy ambiance all throughout the cottages and the area around them. This is a project completed past studio Trevor McIvor Architect Inc. and consists of a main cottage and a smaller one, both sharing many blueprint similarities such equally the cladding and the framing of the windows.

The two cottages feature a clean and simple aesthetic. They have a contemporary construction and advent designed most notably by large and apartment roofs with deep overhangs. These overhangs create sheltered and protected areas which can part every bit extensions of the indoor living spaces and being splendid for entertaining and diverse social activities throughout the seasons.
